ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027
Gqeberha's fixtures are at St George's Park, right in the middle of the city and a short walk from the sea. It's a compact place, so the choice mostly comes down to whether you'd rather wake up by the beach or in the old centre.
Last verified: 24 July 2026. Venue-specific fixture dates are omitted until the ICC confirms the full schedule.
The venue
St George's Park, in what used to be Port Elizabeth, is the oldest Test ground in the country. It's known almost as much for the brass band that plays through the day as for the cricket. Both the centre and the beachfront are close by.

Where to stay
The areas below are established places to stay, covered without ranking them or recommending specific hotels. Choose the one that best matches how close you want to be to the cricket and the kind of trip you want.

Humewood combines beach proximity with a range of hotels, while nearby Richmond Hill is known for its restaurants and small guesthouses.

Timing
Because the ICC has not yet confirmed the full match schedule, the safest approach is to favour flexible, free-cancellation rates so you can hold a place now and adjust once fixtures and tickets are announced. Non-refundable rates are cheaper but carry that risk while dates are unconfirmed.
