ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027
Flights from India to the Cricket World Cup 2027
India will send one of the largest travelling contingents to the 2027 tournament, and the good news is that Southern Africa is well connected to the subcontinent. The one thing to plan around is that there are no nonstop flights — every itinerary changes at least once.
Last verified: 24 July 2026. Venue-specific fixture dates are omitted until the ICC confirms the full schedule.
Getting there
How the routes work
There is no nonstop service between India and South Africa, so every routing involves at least one connection. In practice that is rarely a drawback: the Gulf and East African hubs run frequent, well-timed links in both directions, and a single change is the norm rather than the exception.

Route information
As of the verification date below, there are no scheduled nonstop flights between India and South Africa. Itineraries connect through hubs such as Doha (Qatar Airways), Dubai (Emirates), Addis Ababa (Ethiopian Airlines) or Nairobi (Kenya Airways).

The journey
Departure cities, hubs and arrival points
- Departure cities
- Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai offer the widest choice of connections, with feeder flights from other Indian cities into those hubs.
- Connection hubs
- The most common connecting points are the Gulf hubs of Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and the African hubs of Addis Ababa and Nairobi. These carry several daily options onward to Johannesburg, with good links to Cape Town and Durban.
- Arrival gateways
- Most itineraries land at Johannesburg (O.R. Tambo), the widest-connected entry point, with Cape Town and Durban also reachable, sometimes with a further short connection in South Africa.
- Journey
- Total travel time depends on the hub and layover, but a one-stop routing is standard. Building in a comfortable connection time — rather than the tightest possible — is worthwhile on the way to a once-in-a-generation trip.
