Newlands Cricket Ground
Newlands Cricket Ground is in the suburb of Newlands, about 6 km south of Cape Town's city centre. Table Mountain and Devil's Peak rise directly behind the pavilion end. The ground has been in continuous use for international cricket since 1889. Newlands railway station is a short walk away.

Background
About the ground
First international match at Newlands was in 1889, the second-ever Test match played in South Africa. The ground has staged over 50 Tests. A significant redevelopment project replaced much of the original grandstand in the 2010s, and the DHL Newlands naming rights deal came into effect around that period.

Tournament status
Confirmed by Cricket South Africa as a CWC 2027 host venue. The ICC has not yet published individual fixture dates or the number of matches per venue.
